The world is full of compromises. We have to choose to compromise our sleep, our time, our attention and so many other things. We accept that as reality based on the choices we made and will make. The one area its not reasonable to ask for a compromise is to a parent about their child. Not about their education, about the nutrition no were is it reasonable for us to compromise our children.

Yet when it comes to entertainment, I found myself having to compromise all the time. When you try to find something educational, something entertaining, something wholesome? Even after you pay for content you're spammed with ads, or schemes to trick kids to pay for gems, coins or even the convenience of time. Gone are the days of the color books and reading as the primary source of entertainment.

Sure your kids do love some offline fun but inevitably you are going to get the question “how can I play Roblox '' or “my friends are playing a superhero game online”. Any reasonable parent will try to prescreen what they can, but you will eventually get tired or give up. Relying on basic descriptions and app store ratings are not enough.
